The Pride had a great day today at the British Airways Speedbird Club near Heathrow hosted by the British Airways Pipe Band. The organisation and the venue were first class. The Pride will certainly be supporting this event in the future as the facility is ideal for hosting a Pipe Band contest. The day was particulally poignant for those that knew Derek Smith as a mintes silence was observed in his honour followed by Flowers of the Forrest performed by The Pipe Majors of each band on parade.

Best Drum Corps Grade 3 and Open Grade
Band 1st in Grade 3 and Open Grade
1st Place in Trios (Medley)
1st Place in Trios (MSR)
The Trios were an unexpected addition and also most enjoyable.
